We have one more technocrat as Gujarati Blogger#36. The software engineer blogger today we are meeting is Mr. Niraj Shah, an Amdavadi who is settled in London.
Niraj did his MSc information Systems Management from University of Greenwich, London. Presently he is working as IT support Engineer in a firm of Associates.
Niraj says, “Gujarati Sugam Sangeet is been my favorites since childhood. Music, Reading, Traveling, Swimming are my hobbies.”
Blogging and Niraj
Niraj says, “It was 16th March 2007 when I started Rankaar as the blog on blogger.com. It is my first and the only blog that I run. As I mentioned I use to have rankaar on blogger.com but then I was facing the problem of songs uploads and sizes. Then I decided to have blog on my own domain. Rankaar.com is become an independent website on 2nd august 2007.”
Why blogging
Blogging enables Niraj to spread a word about the music he loves.
He adds, “The basic idea of my blog is to share and spread the music which I love. I was keen interested in Gujarati Sugam Sangeet since childhood hence had a good collection of music. Rankaar.com is nothing more than “Gamta no Gulal”.”
Blogging benefits
Talking about the benefits he gets from Blogging, Niraj says, “Blogging keeps my spirits alive and give me joy and happiness. Its something of my interest and I just enjoy doing it. Though suggestions/feedbacks from listeners all over the world makes me more happy.”
Niraj’s Blog
Rankaar is the only blog Niraj runs and it is his most successful blog.
So far in the journey of 1 and half years there are more than 350 song of more than 85 poets/writers sung by more than 75 singers and all is available with lyrics in Gujarati.
There is also a facility of “Anukramnika” for all the posts and to select songs by poet or by singer. Few months back there was an article published in the “Gandhinagar Samachar newspaper” about rankaar.
